Forge is still inside the Vault and has found the body in stasis of Laura (Wolverine/X-23).
His mission, however, remains to save Darwin, so he continues the search.
Shortly afterwards he is attacked by Serafina, who however bonds with Caliban (integrated into Forge's suit) and decides to spare him.
Forge learns that Darwin has turned into software and is now living inside the Vault's servers and doesn't want to be rescued.
Forge returns to the real world with Wolverine, still in love with Synch.
