Beta Ray Bill comes to the aid of Thor, leading the Avengers and other Asgardian gods.
Thor, however, is aware that they cannot beat Mjolnir, so he recalls the power of his mother Gaea (eliminating, in a definitive way, the doubt about Phoenix's motherhood, it seems).
With the new power he creates a tornado that divides him and Mjolnir from the others.
The power is still not enough, so Odin sacrifices himself and gives him all the "Odin Power".
