Ulic Qel-Droma is hiding on Yavin 4, wanting to forget the aftermath of the Sith war.
Nomi Sunrise, who became leader of the Republic and spokesperson for the Jedi, has called a meeting of all the Jedi after a long time.
Vima has grown up and looks a lot like her mother.
Since her mother refuses to train her, Vima joins Ulic Qel-Droma.
Ulic trains her in the ways of force, with success.
When Nomi joins them, Sylvar is there too, seeking revenge against Ulic.
When Ulic dies (killed by Hoggon, the space traveler who helped him in his voluntary exile), he proves to be a true Jedi Master, vanishing into Nomi's arms.

No story from the comic book series prior to the Disney purchase (October 30, 2012) was recognized in the new continuity.
