There are no super heroes in this Universe… so far.
Suddenly a blinding white light fills the skies of the Earth, giving extraordinary powers to some human beings.
First shown is Nelson Kohler, computer rep.
When the "White Event" happens, he is driving his car and has an accident.
Having fallen into a coma, his wife decides to pull the plug.
Nelson's body is dead, but he survives as a spirit and appears to be able to sense other humans who have gained powers.
The first one he meets is an elderly woman, Lenore, who has mysterious gray spots on her body.
If anyone looks at them, he faints.
