An alien ark is adrift in space.
Its passengers are all in hibernation, with the exception of a maintenance worker.
Since the journey will last several centuries, the task is transferred to a new person before his death.
The ship is mysteriously stuck in space and over the course of 500 years the workers witness the appearance of alien and monstrous beings (the Fantastic Four).
In various circumstances, workers end up dying before discovering the truth.
Eventually Reed Richards manages to repair the engines of the ship, trapped in a time bubble.
The alien people resume their journey and reach their destination, remembering the group of strange beings who helped them.
