The Avengers investigate the strange character found underground, who keeps changing into older members of the Avengers.
As suspected it turns out to be the Space Phantom, one of the first enemies faced by the group.
Before he can reveal anything though, Kang appears and kills him.
The Avengers are soon attacked by an army of Black Wraiths.
Reaching the heart of Kang's kingdom, they face a Stimuloid.
All the Avengers are captured by the President of the Kang, flanked by Ravonna.

Modok manages to escape and the Snake Society pursues him.
